Two people in the Kiest Park area have reported being shot by paintballs from moving vehicles.
Oscar Rodriguez was jogging near Kiest Park on Wednesday evening when he felt something hit his elbow. When he looked down, he saw that he had been hit by a paintball. He saw a dark blue pickup truck driving away from him.
Rodriguez said he was not seriously injured, but he was concerned that someone else could be hurt. He called the Dallas Police Department, but he said he waited several hours for the department to return his call. When they finally did call him back, they said there had not been any other reports of paintball drive-bys in the area.
Nina Vargas’s son was also hit by a paintball from a moving vehicle. He was getting out of his car in front of his house when he was hit. He was not seriously injured, but he still has a red mark on his stomach.
The police have not been able to confirm whether or not the two incidents are related. They are asking anyone who has information about the paintball shootings to contact the Dallas Police Department.
